Terms of Service
Last updated: October 18, 2026
1. Who you are dealing with
BrainCards (the "Service", at braincards.app) is run by Anton Kurnosov, an individual based in Armenia ("we"). You can reach us at [email protected] or through the Contact Support page in the app.
2. Agreeing to these Terms
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy, which says what we do with your data. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 16 years old to have an account.
3. What the Service is
BrainCards is a flashcard app for learning languages: you create or import cards, the app schedules your reviews, and after you sign up it generates a first set of cards from your answers about what you learn.
The Service is free. We keep improving it: features may be added, changed or removed, and paid plans may be offered in the future. When a change affects these Terms, we update them first (section 9). We may also stop providing the Service; we will give reasonable notice and time to export your cards.
4. Your account
Sign up with an email address you control and keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. One person, one account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
5. Using the Service fairly
The Service has usage limits (for example on the number of cards and on daily exercises); the app shows the current ones. You agree not to:
- break the law or harm other people through the Service;
- post content that is unlawful, abusive or infringes someone else's rights;
- try to get around the limits — with several accounts, scripts or automated requests beyond what the app offers;
- probe, overload or interfere with the Service or its security.
6. Your content
Your cards and everything else you put into the Service stay yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the Service: to store your content, process it, show it back to you and keep it in backups. We do not use your content for advertising and we do not sell it.
The first set of cards is generated by an AI language model from your answers. It can be wrong; check it before you rely on it.
We may remove content that breaks section 5.
7. Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time in your profile; your data is erased as the Privacy Policy describes. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, with notice where that is reasonable.
8. No warranties and limits of liability
The Service is provided as it is and as available. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that any card is correct. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for losses caused by content generated by an AI model. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that the law gives you as a consumer and does not let you waive.
9. Changes to these Terms
When we change these Terms we post the new version here with a new date. If a change matters to you, we tell you in the app before it takes effect. Using the Service after that means you accept the new Terms.
10. Contact
[email protected], or the Contact Support page in the app.
